AKD103 is a new and enhanced generation sizing agent produced from polymer emulsion. In addition to improved retention and higher water resistance, this product accelerates the curing process and enhances the sizing effect. It also offers superior stability and a longer storage period, leading to improvements in various other paper performance aspects.

This advanced sizing agent can be extensively employed in the sizing procedures for different types of papers including writing paper, offset printing paper, cardboard paper, corrugated paper, xerographic paper, copperplate base paper, and more.

Applications:

It can be applied in the pulp whose PH range is between 6 and 9. The pulps include wood pulp, bamboo pulp, secondary pulp from waste paper, strew pulp, reed pulp, cotton stalk pulp, and more.

The dosage is 5kg to 15kg for each MT of pulp. It is usually added continuously by meter pumps into stuff tank or mixing tank.

The equipment and pipes should be cleaned thoroughly if they were used by acidic paper-making. The pulp PH value can be adjusted by adding into a little soda ash or caustic soda.
